Why do we do this?
We favour alternatives to traditional ways of working;
Founder, Jacqui Martin, has been on a journey which has included working in the corporate world, setting up her own company, consulting for social enterprises and then working with companies that are or are becoming employee owned. She has constantly questioned the way that work is organised and looked for better ways to alternatives to traditional ways of working.
- We’ve been inspired by books such as Maverick, The Great Game of Business and Reinventing Organisations which offer alternatives to traditional ways of working.
- We’ve got too many friends and family members who are miserable at work and unable to reach their potential whether this is down to micro-management and lack of autonomy or target setting that encourages wrong behaviours. They know what needs to be done and could do a much better job if things were organised differently.
